Pikachu Floats Above NYC for Thanksgiving Parade

By KC

New York got it’s annual visit from our very own three story tall pikachu. No, it wasn’t an experiment of Professor Oak’s gone wrong, it was the Pikachu float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

With clear skies and mild weather, the giant yellow monster made it’s way from the upper west side of Manhattan to the 34th Street Macy’s without incident. This marks the 7th appearance of the world renown character in the parade. The new, shinier Pikachu float, and its accompanying pokéball, were first introduced in the 2006 parade.
