It isn’t very surprising that My Pokémon Ranch will be receiving a North American update to correspond with the release of Pokémon Platinum. The real surprise comes from the added functionality that Nintendo will include within the update.
Not just a compatibility upgrade, My Pokémon Ranch will include functionality additions, such as a 26th level to the ranch (allowing it to hold 1500 pokémon max, as opposed to the original 1000), the option to change the background music, and the ability to store an additional 10 photos.
Along with functionality, the new update will include the new forms of Giratina, Shaymin, and Rotom as well as a lake for all of the water pokémon to reside in. There will also be 12 new animations and 11 new toys for you to play with.
A North American release date has not been officially announced, though we do know that these updates will be free and will be packed into a new download of the software.

Man, my lake area is gonna be packed. lotsa water types in my ranch. woot for the update. I hope they have more “event” pokemon.
I’m really looking forward to this update, my ranch is very close to being maxed out, so I’m gonna need the extra space.

Don’t really need the extra space myself, but the new bgms will be a welcome addition. Would be nice if they let you upload your own MP3s from your SD card, though…

Pokemon Ranch is one of my Favorite things 4 the wii i begged my dad to get it bc i ran out of room in the PC i told him but i really only had like 3 or 4 spaces left
