Preorders start today in Japan for HeartGold and SoulSilver. If you preorder HeartGold you get a Ho-oh figure. If you preorder SoulSilver you get a Lugia figure. If preorder both versions, you get an Arceus figure along with the two others. The games are set for release on September 12th, 2009 in Japan. Details have not yet emerged about releases in the west.
I know when it comes to the US im ordering both so i can get that arceus figure and the other 2 look cool too thogh.
I’m gonna get SoulSilver, and that Lugia figure looks great! (Always perfered him over Ho-oh, sorry Jowy)
Im totally gettin both JUST 2 get that Arceus! I will meditate like a Medidite in front of it!
Me and my brother will each preorder one of the different versions so that we can also get the Arceus figure. I think the Ho-oh one is much cooler.
The ice on the lugia’s wing looks so cool, even the ice the Lugia is over looks awesome.
The fire with the Ho-oH looks kinda lame. .~.
Those are all pretty cool, but the arceus could look a lot more epic.
OH! I thought that when you preordered both of them you only got the Arceus. I might consider preordering both of them, considering I want all three of the figures and also want to get HeartGold…

They all look awesome! Hopefully the preorder bonueses will be the same in the UK as Japan. Then I’ll preorder both.
Despite my liking Ho-oh moar than Lugia, that Lugia figure looks rather tempting… almost makes me want to pre-order them both.

since my friend is getting heartgold, im gonna ask him to let me pre order it for his so i can get arceus and lugia
Me and my freind have a strategy for this: He and I are going to order HG and SS(respectively) together, so then we’ll get teh arceus figurine. I’ll problably let him have it, then kill him and snatch it for myself.
Assuming they give the figure to you at the time of the pre-order, you don’t need to actually BUY both games. You could just pre-order both, get the figures, then only buy one of the games. All you have to lose is the down payment, which most stores will you give you back as store credit anyway.
the Ho-oh is almost exactly like the TPT Logo. The only difference is that the head is facing a different direction and the figure has fire.
