Wow, that’s amazing. I could never do that.

I reckon my Grandma could maybe just manage to cross stitch that, and she is quite good. Great cross stitching, I hope to see more. =)

It’s amazing that it was done, but anyone could do it. I mean, the pattern is already existent in sprite form, which is much easier than making up your own pattern. If I had a clue how to cross stitch, trust me, I’d do it.

So instead of complaining about how anybody could do it, KLB, why don’t you do it yourself? :P

    Anyway… *steals the Jolteon* CYOOT!

Again, I said I would. And I’m not complaining. It’s just like the pearler beads. If I had them, and knew what I was doing, I would. I’d need one 101 lesson on cross stitching, and trust me, I’d master it.

It’s really not as easy to master as you think. Unlike perler beads, where you just plop a bead onto a beg board and iron it when you’re done, you actually have to stitch each and every pixel, which is done in three or four steps per stitch. You also have to keep the back of the project neat so that the floss doesn’t become bunched up, and you have to make sure that you keep the floss even as you stitch so that it doesn’t knot on you. The worst thing you can do is force a knot through the fabric. Above that, you have to be able to wash and clean the fabric and thread correctly, and know how to handle the fabric as you stitch so that you don’t ruin the dexterity. Oh, and let’s not forget that if you miscount, you’ve got to rip out every single stitch you messed up. If you notice this too late, kiss your project goodbye and start over. With beads at least you can just dump them off instead of having to twist and bend the fabric.

It’s a far more complicated hobby than you think it is. I’m not saying that you couldn’t master it, but I’ve been stitching for five or six years and even now I can mess up sometimes.

Too bad I can’t cross stitch. I’d totally do one of these.

That’s cool! Where do you stitch them on (pillows, towels, ect.)?
