You should feed Ash some Rare Candies… Maybe he’ll finally evolve…

Wow, I though talking about berries for over an hour would be a challenge, but now this?

But anyway, this episode looks like it will a good one to listen too, maybe it will even teach me a few tips on catching Pokemon as well.

    Thanks again Jowy & KC!

I was actually hoping you would go nowhere near this topic. I could have taught everybody it and became TPTly famous… In a completely different episode, I think one of you said something along the lines of: “The formula is so convoluted that I will not even mention it.”

  5. Pwnemon says:

    Haha the formula!

  6. PKMNfanatic493 says:

  9. WhiteSoxFan says:

Thanks for some tips you taught me!!

  10. Pwnemon says:

Seriously though, are you guys running out of ideas? Because I felt like this episode was nothing new, and it seems like the episodes get less and less interesting as time goes on…

    • Viridian Bank says:

Nothing new? We never discussed this topic before… that’s why we did it.

      • Pwnemon says:

What I meant by that is, how much can you really learn from or be entertained by a podcast about Pokeballs? It really isn’t a very interesting or deep topic.

Some people may not have thought there was much, if not any ‘Art of Capturing a pokemon’ but KC & Jowy have given us a great episode that actually reveals that there is alot hidden behind the sprites and sounds of the game. Alot of children and even adults dont know that there is a serious amount of math involved when you EV train or IV breed pokemon so it makes sense that math would be involved with the capture of a pokemon too. I think KC & Jowy did a good job showing off the facts and I look forward to the next episode.

Something basic to a lot of people is always new to SOMEbody out there. So I like to see the variety of subject matter.

I love the pic! I don’t know why, it’s just appealing. Another awesome episode! :)

  12. KLB says:

Another little thing I noticed that was missing… Arc, wake up and do Blaine’s Gym already…

I hope we get to do another anniversary episode next year where we pick our favorite clips, because Jowy’s comment after that young caller’s voice mail was hilarious.

I have actually met marriland in real life, in fact i think he works at my local kmart. I could ask him (thogh he probably doesn’t know that i know hes marriland) if i see him at the store or at a pokemon tournament

  15. MCPuppeteer says:

Awesome episode guys, keep em coming. :D

I just got done listening to this podcast and heard my email about the ringtones being read, I am Stevan, I used to have the Zelda secret ringtone on my LG shine. I don’t have an iPhone, my real curiosity was just where to find good soundbites. My Shine broke and ATnT sent me a Xenon to replace it. I found out about the Kingdom Hearts site that has a crapload of mp3s and am now using the recover.mp3… so every time my phone rings I think to myself “somewhere a pokemon is getting healed”. The mp3 is the doinka-doinka-doinka-DUNH sound that you hear when Nurse Joy is recovering/reviving your pokes at a pokecenter.
Jowy referred to Hermes work of ringtones or sounds and said he would provide a link. I couldn’t find that link, can you post it (again)?
