Jowy’s Catch Up Vlog

Darkrai Comes to Light

Pokémon #491 has officially been announced for the USA.By Jowy

On January 29th, Nintendo has officially revealed pokémon #491, Darkrai to the US. For the past few weeks, we’ve been teased with this pokémon’s silhouette on the front page of Pokemon.com, but its mystifying appearance has finally been exposed to the public for all to see.

Akin to the launch of Manaphy and the 9th Pokémon movie, Nintendo has created a website dedicated to this frightful pokémon (appropriately named darkrai.com). Although the site does not yet provide a way to get your own Darkrai, it does display a gallery of his various appearances through in-game screenshots and movie stills, as well as card scans from the upcoming “Great Encounters” TCG expansion set.

To coincide with the sudden surge of Darkrai information, Cartoon Network had finally announced the official name of the new movie: “The Rise of Darkrai”. They will be airing the movie “months before it plays in theaters” on February 24th at 7pm EST. “The Rise of Darkrai” will be released straight to DVD.

Hopefully, all this Darkrai media would lead to the eventual release of this highly sought-after pokémon.
